Jigoku Takushi (Hell Taxi)
Kayoko Yoshizawa
Text

On this calm early afternoon I hopped into a taxi and headed off to the airport
Hiding my lace gloves oozing with a dark red stain, I held tightly my heavy bag
Hey, I’ll soon be able to be free

If there is a god I’d certainly be loathed
When I gaze out the window, at the gold of the plentiful wheat fields, in the midst of that beauty
The driver said

“Ma’am”
“Yes?”
“You”
“Yes?”
“You’re already falling into hell”
“Huh”

Hell Taxi Taxi, I entrust my soul
Hell Taxi Taxi, Let’s go to the pits of hell

The hot topic of the Monday news is about that girl that ran away
They all say she ran, holding the head of her husband
What a disturbed world. Well, it has completely no relation to me
I turned back and hopped into a taxi

Come to think of it, I have no memory of this morning
How was it that I even came here?

The driver said to me, although I’ve got no reflection in the rear-view mirror

“You’re already falling into hell”

Anytime and anyplace I’ll go to meet you
The taxi will carry you on
Anytime and anyplace I’ll go to meet you
If you’ve fallen this far there’s no going back

Hell Taxi Taxi, The appearance of hell
Hell Taxi Taxi, Is in everyday life
It’s just a matter of who notices
Hell Taxi Taxi, The taxi to hell

Hell Taxi Taxi, An extreme choice
Hell Taxi Taxi, (I’ll prepare!) I’m going now!
Hell Taxi Taxi, I entrust my soul
Hell Taxi Taxi, Let’s go to the pits of this hell
